From Tomorrow
So I have observed an unobservable thing lately. I mean only a few can observe it; moreover it’s also true that it’s not the first time that I have observed it. It was always in my mind, not in the back of my mind-like almost all insightful observation. The thing is that I can not keep it in my mind anymore, and do nothing. As it's said that knowledge is misery, and ignorance is bliss. And the thing is that I have known the thing for long, so I can not act like an ignorant any more.
Now, here goes the observation. The observation is this that I am doing, not practically, not almost, but absolutely nothing. This is not judgment based on insufficient data that is based on a day or two. But it has been the case for past quarter century- well, almost. Here I am not going to talk about those times. It is of no use. As the Chinese saying goes that it does not matter where do you stand what really matters is your direction, So I will talk about the future, the future orientation, the way , the method, that will help me align in right direction.
So here are some things that I will expect myself to do.
1: I have to read one fiction and one non fiction every month. First I will start with thin books, this is to feel good, and build confidence or get the momentum going. Anyway a good batsman, nowadays a good traditionally test batsmen, does not start slogging the moment he comes into bat, first he tries to have the feel of being in the pitch for a while.
2: Will read all the 'interesting' columns of The Asian Age and the Deccan Herald.
3: Since in my building of my office, Fortune and HBR don’t come, and I don’t earn enough to buy these magazines, I will settle with the Business World. In this time Business Tycoons/Technocrats are the one who rule the world. And a person- who does not understand the politics of business or the business- does not understand the world at all. So, though, I am not interested in business at all, I will read the Business World, and the article collection of HBR regularly. Moreover, though I am not interested in business at all, I have to do business, so I will start reading these idea-barren magazines early otherwise I might be short of ideas in future.
4: I will post 3-4 post every week. At least gibberish.
4: I have to be financially independent, that is unemployable, (Management lingo), by the end of this year.
