On Blogs
I have read, not many, but quite a few blogs. While reading I have observed that these days lots of people write well. I know this is a wrong observation, if I am comparing this generation of writer- any body who writes is a writer- to older generation of writers. I don’t have any data to produce but I do believe that older generation wrote better than this generation. This has reason as well. People are involved in too many things today. They are busy, and they don't have time to read anything, that will not give them tangible and palpable dividend. So today people read less, and so they write badly.
But what I was saying is that whenever I read a blog I have a tinge of inferiority x. And this is not a rarity. This happens too often. I think most of the blogs are well written, and this is certainly a warning for somebody who thinks of writing sometime. One more thing that I was thinking on this context is that if you see peoples profile in various networking sites-like orkut, or in blogs, you will observe that a lot many people are wannable writers. So I was thinking, how many of those peoples will be really able to make it. If you will try to visualize Indian writers writing in English, not more than ten will come to your mind. Yes, if you are a wannable writer, or English literature professor-not students, the count may go up to twenty five. But I would say that not more than 10 writers are worth reading. So, out of lakhs aspiring writer who are the 10 who will make it.
Note for me: in a day or two I will write a blog on writers. what makes a good writer.
So here again I observe that I have written a lot many things that i didn't plan to write, and have not written almost anything that I planned to write. So here I go incoherently and quickly.
* I think one should not write personal things nn blog. The thing is that you are writing things on darkness of a private room, but what you are typing in your private keyboard in front of you, and what you are seeing at monitor of your own pc is also visible to dash , dash, and dash.
No , I am not of opinion that all personal experiences must be kept secret, but if you if you think of writing sometime you must keep it for big occasions. And secondly, as they say talented people have large personal space, and thjey dont like discussing personal things with anybody. So, my suggestion is that at least act intelligent. At least act like a genius, and don't discuss things in public. So, I will try to be an actor; all of my future blogs will be analytical in nature.
Now I have forgotten what the things I planned to write are. So the End.
